So... this is why I call her Crusty... at least for now.

Kids were going to wrestle to see who gets the keys when it's all done. My money's on the girl... She's quite vicious for her height... like a tazmanian devil that one.

The truck is a true barn find. The previous owner had it in his farm's barn for a while. He had high hopes for it but had more pressing concerns than to work on it. He bought it in a farm auction in Bellingham, Wa. Wish I could have seen what he might have done to it. He was the owner of a popular, but now closed, Chassis Shop... apparently a winner of multiple awards for his custom rebuilds which made it on multiple covers of car magazines.

My plan is simple... a budget build with the simple goal of teaching my kids how to work on cars, learn some basic mechanics, learn to get their hands dirty and most of all, have some daddy son and daughter time. My guess is that this will take a long... long... long time. With any luck it will be one of theirs' when it's ready. If not and I have to later sell it, then we'll find another project and begin all over again. Just hope I don't break the bank on it... just got to keep repeating it like a mantra.... BUDGET.... BUDGET.... BUDGET!!!!!
